R.L. Chauke

Lucas Chauke joined Quantimet trading as Chauke Quantity Surveyors in August 1995 after having served as acting head of the Department of Public Works in the Northern Province.

Lucas is a former external examiner of the Department of Quantity Surveying at the University of Port Elizabeth and is a former council member of the University of Natal.

In 2000 Lucas was President of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors where he campaigned to promote the profession internationally. He also served as the President of the Council of South African Quantity Surveyors from 1987-2004 and on the Council of South African Architects from 2001-2005. He is also a member of the Council for Built Environment Profession. He was recently awarded the "Chancellor's Gold Medal for Meritorious Service" from the Vaal University of Technology.

M.J. de Wet

Hannes de Wet has worked exclusively in the quantity surveying profession for the past 22 years. During this time he gained invaluable experience which covered the entire range of all quantity surveying functions. He has also become involved in project management that involved researching and implementing saving proposals in a creative, resourceful manner to meet the budgets of clients.

Hannes is firmly committed to meeting the deadline-demands of fast track projects.
